About the School
St. Edmund's College has a long history of educating international students. The summer camp is organized by the school staff, the program offering the ideal preparation for transitioning to a British school. The campus is located on an impressive 400 acres in Hertfordshire, only 20 minutes from Stansted Airport.

Accommodation
Students are accommodated in the school’s main building, in double rooms, with an upstairs shared bathroom. They are usually housed with other students of simmilar age, with different nationalities, in order to encourage them to make new friends and to speak in English as much as possible. Students also share relaxation and socializing areas, equipped with games, TVs and computers with internet access.

Sports and Leisure
A wide range of sports and recreational activities are offered. The campus features a gymnasium with basketball, badminton and football courts, an indoor heated pool, six open-air tennis courts and many other sports courts where mini-Olympics, archery and other games can be practiced. Evening activities include: disco, barbeque, international evenings, competitions, karaoke, talent show. For those who prefer quieter activities, the school has a library, an IT club, arts & crafts and activities near the school, such as going to the cinema, playing music, golf or ice skating.

Excursions                                                                                                                 
The programme provides educational tours, theater visits, shopping, and tourist circuits. Among the destinations are Buckingham Palace, West End Theater, Greenwich, Colchester Zoo, Kew Gardens, The London Eye, Museum of London, The Tower of London.

About the Courses
Courses include 28 hours of English per week, with excursions and educational visits. Every week, students will go on a one-day trip to a renowned tourist destination in the UK, with will allow them to prepare in advance with a follow up on an educational project. Morning courses focus on developing language skills, while afternoon classes address topics selected weekly by participants, from:

  • school subjects
  • sports (both theoretical and practical) - football, tennis, netball, badminton, volleyball, trampolining, riding*, golf *, ski*
  • arts - dance, music, theater
  • vocational courses - first aid, food industry *, scuba diving *
  • Academic courses - various academic courses or linguistic exams are offered, for an additional fee, in preparation for exams during the camp,: Trinity GESE, Language Cert. A1 - C2, Cambridge English (KET, PET, FCE, CAE), Trinity College London ISE, IELTS. For dates and fees, please contact IntegralEdu.

  • Preparation for further studies in the British system (24 hours / week): besides the programme hours, students can opt for this 3-week, intensive module, covering topics such as English, math and science, under the guidance of experienced school teachers.
  • Introduction to IB (24 hours / week): those interested in the International Baccalaureate program can opt for this 3 week module during which they can prepare for the exam.
