About school
The ACS Cobham boarding school was founded in 1967 and is located in a very beautiful green area, just 24 km from central London. The ultramodern school base stretches over an area of ​​50 hectares. Facilities include: state-of-the-art sports grounds and gymnasiums, large dining room, dance studio, athletics track, 25m indoor pool, modern gymnasium, theater room with 500 seats, art studio, IT laboratory.

Accommodation
The students are accommodated in the newly built home, in individual or double en suite rooms. They have access to spacious and bright halls of leisure, equipped with modern appliances.

Sport and leisure
Every week, recreational and entertaining activities are organized within the campus, using the impressive base of the school: various sports activities, creative, team games, competitions. In the evening, disco, talent show, quiz, karaoke, movie evenings are organized.

Excursions
The program includes two day-a-week excursions to either London (visiting museums, galleries, guided tours, musical shows), Oxford (boating, university visits), Bristol, Windsor Castle , Hampton Court Palace or adventure park.

About the course
The program can last for 2 or 4 weeks and is suitable for mid-level learners. English classes blend harmoniously with interactive activities designed to improve language skills and critical thinking.
All activities aim to strengthen confidence in the use of accumulated knowledge during the camp and encourage teamwork (survival techniques, treasure hunters in nature). By participating in seminars and debating competitions, learners learn how to support their arguments, use persuasion techniques, and also present their ideas to the public.
The course provides 30 hours of study, focused on the conversational side, with the aim of developing accuracy and fluency in speech, interactive activities, debates. Learning techniques are learned: taking notes, active listening, choosing sources, interpreting information. The weekly program also includes workshops, presentations and is structured as follows:

  • Young Antrepreneur

"Learn to become a successful leader!" Emphasis is on exploring ideas, finding solutions, developing speech skills in public. By participating in various practical projects, learners are encouraged to improve
the skills and working techniques of a true leader.

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)

The focus is on the practical side of these areas, such as: 3D modeling, GPS systems.

  • Presentation/ debate skills:  the aim of this module is to develop students' public speaking abilities. By discussing different business issues the students improve their debate abilities.
