About the school

The course takes place in the Docklands campus, part of the University of East London, located in a modern area of London which has went through a spectacular development during the last few years. Nearby there are famous buildings such as: "Millenium Dome", Canary Wharf or the Olympic Park. From the campus the students can enjoy a beutiful view of the Thames. The course takes place in modern classrooms, equipped with the latest technology.

Accommodation

The students are accommodated in single rooms with private bathrooms in the university campus which has been completely renovated. The rooms are grouped in apartments of 4 - 6 rooms each, with a shared kitchen and living room. For a small extra fee, the students have access to the laundry facilities of the campus. The meals are served in the Edge restaurant located in the campus.

Sport and leisure

Most of the sport activities take place in a nearby park equipped with fitness gear and wide green areas but also on the sports field inside the campus. At night the school organizes a variety of entertainment activities such as: karaoke, disco, international night, fashion show, raffle, talent show.

Trips

Every week, the students will visit tourist attractions such as the National Maritime Museum, Tate Modern Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Natural History Museum, Portobello Road Market. On weekends they will go on full-day trips to Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford or Canterbury.

About the course

The course includes 20 hours of English language / week, in small groups of max 15 students. In the first day of course the students will take an English language test which consists of a written test and an interview in order to determine each student's level and place them in the appropiate group. They will learn through practical exercises, focusing on speaking and listening.
