About the city and school

Ireland is a relatively small country with a population of about 4 million that takes pride in its rich historical and cultural heritage, and especially in its writers known around the world, such as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett and many others. The music of U2, The Cranberries and Westlife is known to young people around the world. The capital of Dublin is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in Europe, benefiting from an extraordinary combination of the traditional architecture of the museums and the modern architecture of the shops and restaurants. The sea and the mountain are only one hour away by public transport downtown. Dublin theaters and concert halls are well-known by those passionate about performing arts.

Accommodation
The accommodation is made on the University campus located in Belfield, 4 km south of Dublin city center and covers an area of 132 hectares. The campus is a complex of buildings with a modern architecture, here being located most of the schools and colleges of the University. The campus has numerous facilities for recreation and sports. The rooms are individual with private bathroom and are in the form of apartments of 4-8 rooms, with shared living.

Sport and leisure
Students use a part of the school's sports base, which includes: swimming pool, 5 tennis courts, gymnasium for volleyball and basketball, hockey grounds, football, rugby and other team games. In the evening a karaoke program, disco, young talent show, Irish evening are organized.

Excursions
In order for all students to get a better understanding of Dublin's culture and traditions, the program includes a variety of activities such as sports, full-day and half-day trips and entertainment program organized in the evenings. Half-day excursion destinations include Dublin, Dalkey Castle, Book of Kells, EPIC Ireland or Bunratty Castle. Day trips can take place in destinations such as Glendalough and Wicklow Gaol, Cliffs of Moher or Game of Thrones tour.

In addition to the class hours, students will take part in various cultural, sports and recreational activities. World of Work seminars aim to prepare students with the necessary skills later in life and career, such as writing a CV, preparing for interviews, holding a presentation and creating an online page. Sessions include interactive seminars and workshops.
