About school
School is located in the city center, two minutes from the train station. The Language Centre building has 17 classrooms equipped with projectors and audio-video-engineering. Near the building is a small garden. "Le Cascine" Park is 15 minutes away by bus. Wi-Fi available.

Accommodation
Upon request, students can be accommodated in student hostels with other students, as well as at Italian families where, by choice, either half board or breakfast  is provided. Usually, the preferred accommodation (host family or apartment) is at a walking distance away from school. In some cases, the students travel by bus (approx. 20 minutes).


Host family
Students are accommodated in individual rooms. Breakfast or half board upon request.
Apartments (18+)
Students are accomodaed in individual rooms, equipped with a small kitchen. No meals included. Students can use the public laundry to wash their clothes.


Trips
Depending on the preferred period, the dchool organizes half-day trips to Fiesole and Settignano, to the surrounding hills and organizes picnics in parks. For an extra fee, tours in Rome, Venice, Chianti, to the nearby monastery, the Medici villas and many others are organized.

About courses

Main Course (20 hours / week)
It includes 20 hours of Italian language study per week which takes place in groups of max 14 students. The course focuses on improving the students' writing and communication skills, including grammar elements, vocabulary, reading, listening, conversations, phonetic exercises

Intensive Course (30 hours / week)
Includes 30 hours per week which take place in groups.

Combined Course
Includes 20 hours in groups, combined with 10 hours of individual classes.

Italian university enrollment preparation
The class includes 310 hours and lasts for 12 weeks, starting from June 2. During the first 4 weeks the students will study literary texts, will work on presentations and will have debates. During the next 8 weeks the participants will study the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology.

Italian university enrollment preparation
The class includes 310 hours and lasts for 12 weeks, starting from June 2. During the first 4 weeks the students will study literary texts, will work on presentations and will have debates. During the next 8 weeks the participants will study the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology.

Italian and art
The general class plus 8 (for 4 weeks class) or 12 (16 weeks class) hours per week. The 4 weeks course, one of the following subjects is chosen: drawing, interior design, fashion, photography. As for the 16 weeks course, which is held in English, two of the following subjects are added, by choice: photography, textiles, fashion design, new media (video, sound and installing), Printmaking and Books, Arts, Fashion; Garment Construction.

Italian and gastronomy
This course adds to the main course an extra 6 hours of practical activities per week, in collaboration with the Culinary Art School. The minimum language level required is A2. At this course the students will work on preparing a full Italian menu. During each session the participants will study culinary notions from different regions in Italy, focusing on the region of Toscana. The participants will be introduced to the main cooking techniques and the entire group will work on creating a complete menu. At the end of the course the participants will get a recipe book and an A-pron.
