About the School
Earlscliffe is a private school built in 1870 and completely renovated between 2012 and 2014. It is located in the town of Folkestone, near the city center and the train station. London can be reached in 55 minutes by train.

Accommodation              
It offers accommodation in newly renovated rooms with 2 or 3 beds and en suite bathroom. All rooms have Wi-Fi access. The meal is served in the school canteen. Every two weeks a festive dinner with three dishes is organized.

Sport and Leisure
During their free time, students can play volleyball, basketball, badminton, pool, table tennis and soccer. In the afternoon and evening, various recreational activities are available: karaoke, talent show, football, dance, disco, contests, etc.

Extra sports
For an additional fee, paintball is available.

Trips
In the course fee, two full-day trips per week are included. Also available are boat rides in Canterbury, visits to Folkestone, Leeds, Covent Garden in London or the Science Museum and other famous tourist events in the city, etc. For a fee, students can go to a musical in West London, such as “The Lion King” or visit Warner Bros. studios, where the Harry Potter films were filmed.

Types of Courses

  • Intensive (13 - 17 years old): the course provides 30 hours of English per week, designed to maximize the linguistic development of students by using the "four pillars of learning" of UNESCO: to know, to do, to be and to live in a community. By exploring and discussing global themes, using various learning methods, students improve their four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), critical thinking skills, studying by themselves and teamwork.
  • Minor-MBA (15 - 17 years old): the course is specially designed for ambitious youngsters looking for a different summer programme to give them an insight into the world of business administration and also to add to their resume and application to a university. During this 30-hour course, students cover different fields, such as business, finance, management, economics or accounting. In addition to the sports and entertainment programme, Mini-MBA students have two day-long thematic tours in London, during which they visit the Bank of England Museum.
  • University Preparation (16 - 17 years old): the course is intended for young people who intend to apply at university in the UK or in their native country and focuses on improving the skills needed for a successful application. Thus, the two-week program includes IELTS exam preparation hours, documentation and essay writing, critical thinking and oratory skills, familiarization with the application process at Oxford and Cambridge universities. Students learn to take notes, gather information, choose the right university in the UK and make their application through the UCAS system. Visits to top universities such as Oxford, London School of Economics, University College London, Queen Mary University and others are also organized.
  • Short boarding course (15 - 19 years old): this course takes place between 2 - 27 June and is designed for students who want to improve their English language skills while experiencing life in a boarding school. Those who sign up for this course will enjoy English language lessons, academic subject lessons, sports and cultural activities, high-quality en-suite accommodation, the opportunity to take the IELTS exam and full integration. Also, the course can be combined with any  of the summer courses mentioned above.
