About the School
Dicker School is located in the heart of Sussex County, near the Eastbourne Maritime Resort. The school occupies an area of 80 acres and offers its students a relaxed atmosphere, freedom and comfort.

Accommodation
Available in several campuses, accommodation is made in rooms with 2 - 4 beds and shared bathrooms on each floor.

Sports
The sports centre of the school includes tennis and squash courts, gymnasium, swimming pool, gymnasium, artificial turf fields and a small golf course. Students also have a dance studio and a theatre hall. In the evening, various games and contests, fashion shows, karaoke, disco, pool party and much more are organized.

Academy of Sports or Arts
Students can enrol for sports or art training with qualified instructors for a fee. Training is only suitable for those with beginner or medium level skills in the chosen sport or art. You can opt for one type of sport or art per week:

dance (June 30th, July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, August 4th);

film and animation (July 7th, 14th, 21st, August 4th);

fashion design (June 30th, July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th).

photography ; soccer ; golf ; horse riding ;  tennis ; adventure sports ; 

Trips    
Two half-day trips are scheduled per week. Wednesday, visits to nearby attractions or activities outside the campus (skating, climbing, golf, visiting the museum, the castle, the park, etc.) are scheduled. On Saturday, full-day trips take place in London or other places of interest. On Sunday, more relaxing trips take place in a seaside town, such as Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and others

About the Courses

• The intensive course (30 hours / week) includes:

  • developing all language skills, including grammar and vocabulary;
  • developing language comprehension and fluency through commercials, TV programs, articles, magazines, videos;
  • working on projects - learners present their research in the form of a presentation, a story or a debate and thus improve their communication skills.

Upon request and for a fee, B1-level students can choose one or two additional subjects, between: math (June 30th, July 7th, 21st, 28th, August 4th), English literature (July 7th, 14th, 28th, August 4th), sciences (June 30th, July 14th, 21st, August 4th), crativity (July 7th, 14th, 28th, August 4th), debate (June 30th, July 7th, 21st, August 4th), problem solving techniques (June 30th, July 7th, 21st, 28th).


• Preparation for the PET exam (30 hours / week): The program includes 23 hours of exam preparation and 7 hours of work on a project, in order to improve their communication skills. The fee covers the examination at the end of the course.


• Legat School of  Dance (7 - 20 July): the course is a combination of ballet and English lessons. It includes a total of 40 hours and is intended for students with experience, who have practised ballet before. Lessons are held by experienced teachers from Legat School, who also teach during the year. Courses include ballet, contemporary dance, pilates and choreography. Students learn technique, virtuosity, repertoire and choreography, specifically designed for this course. All students show what they’ve learned, in front of the whole school on the last day.
