Winter EduCamps

 We prepared a list of winter camp offers not only for those who love the winter sports but also for those who would like to improve their language skills during the winter break. These camps take place in UK, Germany and Switzerland. The students can choose between practicing snowboarding or skiing combined with other leisure activities and language classes where they an study English, French, German or Spanish.

Ski camp in Bansko, Bulgaria (10 - 18 years)

About the course

Each morning after breakfast, interactive seminars are held in English, where students discuss daily topics relevant to developing life skills. All students are involved and can present their ideas and points of view. Possible topics include debates, and introduction to business, recognizing verified news sources, etc.

In the afternoon, the adventure of skiing and snowboarding begins. The package includes the rental of ski equipment, transfers to and from the ski slopes, as well as cards valid throughout the day at ski lifts. Not only will you get to ski on the same slopes as professionals, but you will also have an unforgettable experience together with new friends from the camp and camp staff. When returning to the hotel, you can relax your muscles at the spa and the heated pool.

Evenings are dedicated to games and fun with new friends. Each evening there will be different activities, such as trivia games, competitions and more.

About the courses
The course takes place from Monday to Friday, and the teachers are native speakers of German. All students undertake weekly tests, and for an extra fee the school offers the possibility of sustaining the ZD test on certain days.

Skiing
Skiing is a way of life in the Allgaeu region and for this reason the school owns its own ski equipment. During December - March and depending on the snow layer, students have the opportunity to take part in ski trips or to visit a ski school. The course takes place every afternoon during the week and throughout the Saturday. Activities are carried out under the guidance of qualified instructors. In days when weather conditions are not favorable, the linguistic center organizes various fun activities, games or walks around.

About the course
The winter camp combines the study of a foreign language with many different winter activities. Children can study German or English (16 hours / week), enjoy the winter outdoor experience of the Swiss Alps, have fun and have new friends around the world. Teachers encourage the use of foreign language both during and outside classes. Among the activities, we mention: skiing, snowboarding, skating, snowbiking, curling (activities depend on weather conditions). Also, every evening and weekend, the participants can enjoy a sports and entertainment program.

About the Course
Classes take place in the morning, from Monday to Friday. Students can take private lessons on request. Along with studying materials, students will also receive a language certificate of attendance at the end of their stay.

Winter Camp at Pre Fleuri, Switzerland (3-6, 7-10 or 11-14 years)

About the courses
Winter camps are organized for children between the ages of 3 and 14, by age group (3-6 years, 7-10 years and 11-14 years). Children over 9 years will enjoy the Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets ski slopes and snowboarding (1300 m -3000 m), a superb ski area served by 40 modern and safe ski lifts. Smaller children will use the part of the resort, where future champions learn to ski in a safe area reserved for beginners, including roller coasters and a mini-lift. At the end of the stay, all children give a ski test and receive a certificate and a medal.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the students will do winter sports such as skiing in the resort or school property, skating in Villars (indoor) and Gryon (outside), winter hiking (with boots or snow racquets), thermal baths (springs Lavey-les-Bains). In the middle of the week, the students have a well-deserved day of relaxation, in which they have the opportunity to discover Switzerland. There are also organized visits to the Swiss chocolate factory Cailler or the Olympic Museum which include a short shopping trip.

Foreign language camp plus ski / snowboarding
Includes 20 hours of English or French in the morning and organized afternoons of skiing and winter sports along with the students of the school.

About the courses
The course is aimed at young people who want to combine the study of English with cultural activities and visits. Designed around five interesting themes, students learn through project-based lessons, educational tours, and optional sports, academic and creative activities. It is suitable for all levels (A1-C2). Following this course, children develop their core skills in English (reading, writing, listening and speaking), a richer vocabulary and better pronunciation, an activity portfolio, essential life skills (teamwork, independence and communication) , trust, and an international network of friends.
